You are encouraged to use these materials as best suits the needs of your audience. Materials can be used in their entirety or in parts. You are also free to download and save materials separately for use outside this K-12DB Mini10 web page.

K-12DB Mini10 No. 1 covers:
  • The benefits of using subscription databases
  • How to access the state funded K-12 Databases at school and at home
  • The variety and extent of content in the K-12 Databases
Example uses of K-12DB Mini10 No. 1 materials include:
  1. Display of videos and/or distribution of handouts during
    • Student classes
    • Library orientations
    • Faculty meetings
    • Library or school events with student, parent and family participation
  2. Links to K-12DB Mini10 No. 1 materials from district web portals and/or other campus/district web pages, newsletters, and flyers

Facilitating a session on the K-12 Databases program?

If you choose to facilitate a 10 minute session using the K-12 DBMini10 No.1 materials, the instructions and presenter notes will explain preparation and delivery of the content. In addition, a ready-made PowerPoint presentation is available for your use. A .pdf document with suggested facilitator notes to accompany each PowerPoint slide is also provided. All other supporting materials are included in steps 2 through 5.

Find informational flyers about the resources included in the state funded program.

The Britannica Flyer briefly describes the resources and features available within the Britannica Online School Edition. Explore the five encyclopedias, the dictionary, atlas, timelines, videos, and more.
The EBSCO Databases Flyer provides brief descriptions of each resource. Discover the variety of subjects and materials available.

Don't forget to distribute the logins!

The K-12 Databases Bookmarks have blanks on the reverse side to make a note of usernames and passwords.
The K-12 Databases Brochure is a great way to raise awareness about the program. This brochure describes the importance of the state funded online resources to educators and families.
